We have compiled a collection of experiments and taken the next step by simplifying them and adding the elusive answer to the “But Why?!?” using imagery and familiar concepts and descriptions that help kids understand big concepts at their developmental level.
Each experiment page is a hands-on opportunity with an explanation that reinforces the concepts that are discussed in the WMFK video based on the topic. {A link to the interactive tv show style video is included in the packet.}
The WMFK video, in the style of Blues Clues, Dora, and Diego, uses an interactive questioning approach to engage kids in the experimentation.
In addition to the experiment pages, there are both a Scientific Method poster and a lab sheet page that, when used, enables kids to follow the steps of the scientific method as they experiment.
