How to Make Snow Ice Cream

If you’ve been slammed with cold and snow like we have here at WMFK Central, you’re probably looking for ideas for playing with snow that don’t involve making another snowman!

Well, we have a sweet idea for you!Snow Ice Cream

Make SNOW ICE CREAM!

Mix ½ sugar and 1 tsp vanilla with 1c milk or half & half (non-fat milk doesn’t work well, trust us on this!) Go outside and collect 4-5 cups of FRESH clean white snow (you can also put out a large pot during a storm to collect directly into the pot!)

Stir milk mixture into the snow and mix well until you have an ice cream consistency. Serve immediately!

Experiment with the recipe, toppings, and timing. How do you think other variables might affect the outcome? [This is a great way to get your parents to let you eat lots of ice cream! Its all for science!]
